Karate is one of the most popular sports practiced in the world with over 50 million people involved from 164 countries. Our competition team is geared towards competitive athletes who wish to enhance their speed, leadership, focus, discipline, time management, and efficiency of movement. Blue Dragon Martial Arts competes in the United States of America National Karate Federation (USANKF), Panamerican Karate Federation (PKF) and World Karate Federation (WKF) in partnership with the International Olympic Committee. These tournaments range from local, national, to international. Blue Dragon Martial Arts students are encouraged to participate in competitions throughout the year, but students don’t have to compete necessarily. All classes are mandatory and notices are recommended if a student must miss a class. Practice and training is very important in a competitive setting; we want all students to be ready to perform at their best.
Competition team members must meet the minimum number of classes per week. The purpose for the competition schedule and requirements is to ensure that all competition team members receive the very best preparation and coaching for karate competition and to hold all students accountable for their commitment to the program. The competition team members will receive coaching at all events where allowable. Competition team members are required to wear exclusive competition team apparel to all tournaments.
